Peconic
Bay Medical Center Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation is a 4,500-square-foot
facility where a highly trained and dedicated professional
staff offers a personalized approach to therapy in a motivating and comfortable
environment.
At Peconic Bay Medical Center Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation,
a physical
therapy team works with patients to help alleviate
pain, recover strength and mobility after surgery, rehabilitate damaged
joints, build strength, and restore balance, endurance and range of motion.
Services
Patients first receive a thorough evaluation. The therapist creates
an individualized treatment program to address the specific deficits
identified in the evaluation. The goals are established based on the
therapist's findings and the patient's own treatment expectations. Patients
are then managed and monitored individually by the licensed professional
staff throughout the course of treatment.
Among the conditions for which specialized treatment is offered are:
- Joint Replacement
- Stroke
- Low Back Pain
- Cervical Dysfunction
- TMJ Dysfunction
|
- Upper and Lower Extremity Injuries
- Neurological Disorders
- Sports Injuries
- Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

The Peconic Bay Medical Center Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation
has developed an Outpatient Wellness Program for those whose active therapy
program has ended but who wish to continue to get the benefits of exercise.
Many of our patients have found that continuing their exercise regimen
after the prescribed therapy period has ended makes a significant impact
on ensuring continued strength, balance, flexibility and coordination.
The center also offers massage therapy.
