a 60-bed Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Peconic Bay Physical
Therapy & Rehabilitation
Center and Peconic Bay HomeHealth Services,
a certified home health agency.
Located in Riverhead, NY, the hospital serves nearly 120,000 residents
of the East End of Long Island from Wading River to Mattituck on the
North Fork and from Moriches to Hampton Bays on the South Fork since
1951. With 900 employees and a 200-member medical staff, PBMC provides
comprehensive healthcare services on the East End.
Each year Peconic Bay Medical Center discharges nearly 6,000 adult,
pediatric and newborn patients and our Emergency Department treats some
26,000 patients.
Peconic Bay Home Health Services provides nursing assistance with approximately
20,000 home visits each year. PBMC surgeons keep the operating rooms
busy with nearly 3,700 surgeries, both inpatient and outpatient and 3,000
endoscopies. The Maternity Unit brings about 450 new babies into the
world and the Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center provides care
for about 650 people annually.
