He graduated from medical school in India followed by an anesthesiology and critical care medicine residency from India. Later, he completed an Internal Medicine Residency from University of Missouri. He received his two fellowship trainings at the University of Missouri and Johns Hopkins University. He received his Masters of Public Health degree from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
