RIVERHEAD, NY – Expanding and updating its web presence as well as its course rotations, Peconic Bay Medical Center’s School of Radiologic Technology recently launched its application process for the Fall 2020 class. Applications for the coveted 12 admission openings will be accepted until March 2, 2020.

“We are broadly recognized as the leading radiology program in Suffolk County,” said Program Director Frank Zaleski. “Our graduates are working at hospitals and other healthcare organizations throughout Long Island and New York State. We have a near 100% placement rate for our program graduates.”

Founded in 1967, the Peconic Bay School of Radiologic Technology is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) and the New York State Department of Health, and affiliated with the Empire State College of the State University of New York. The school’s current group of returning students will comprise the school’s 50th graduating class when they compete their studies in 2020.

When they graduate, the newly certified radiographers will have completed a highly regarded program of education approved by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) and recognized by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). They will be ready to provide professional competency with the latest equipment and techniques as Radiologic Technologists registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Headquartered in new offices at the Entenmann Campus of Peconic Bay Medical Center, the school is expanding its clinical rotations to new sites throughout Suffolk County, including planned rotations at Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, and Northwell Health radiology offices in Smithtown, Northport, and Islip.
